I use an up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04 as well. The problem is still there and it is very annoying. Still exactly the problem as "zcat" described it. I encounter the problem with a Kyocera FS-3830N and also with an KonicaMinolta BizHub C220. All other users in the office are always annoyed when I need to print a PDF (e.g. a presentation).
