Public bug reported: It seems as if the support for svg-files is broken on Natty. SVG-Files aren't shown as preview, aren't vieable with eog and aren't used as icons. You can see this (as example) when you install synapse. Icons that would be shown in highres normally are very blurry. Also some icons are not shown in the main menu, instead a placeholder is used.
This would maybe also explain the "glib.GError: Unrecognized image file" in Bug #722057.
