Public bug reported: I'm running an up to date kubuntu feisty. The computer is a linux Certified 2210D laptop which is built on a Uniwill 245II0.
To reproduce, I boot the system, log into KDE via KDM, then select suspend from the log-off dialog. The system seems to hibernate fine. When I tell the system to wake by pressing the power button, the display stays off for several minutes (I haven't timed it). After this timeout KDM displays at a low resolution with garbage across the top 10% of the display. Killing the xsession via [ctrl]+[alt]+[bksp] or restarting kdm via /etc/init.d/kdm restart both restore the system to a functional state. Suspend did work fine before I switched from edgy. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- xorg needs restarted after suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
