Let's just not forget that if actual Dropbox works well with actual
freedesktop.org standards for notification/system tray things (which I
assume is the case considering that Dropbox notification/system tray
notification works relatively well in KDE, XFCE, etc.), it would be hard
to complain if they don't adapt to Canonical/Ubuntu specific
"standards"...

So here's my comment/suggestion:  let's respect freedesktop.org
standards (or any other relevant standard) with Unity/Ubuntu.  It will
make life much more easier for everyone, developers and users included.
