Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
The eject button has no effect at all, the disk mounter applet says can't eject cdrom (see screenshot). This is what I found when looking into the problem: lsof |grep cdrom nautilus 4559 nphase cwd DIR 22,0 4096 1792 /media/cdrom0 What I did to get to the problem: 1. Started k3b (the gnome burner apps are just not there yet) 2. burned a DVD 3. Disc was ejected after burn 4. Re-insterted the DVD to.. 5. ...check the burned data 6. There you go, can't eject it anymore (unless I log out I guess) Additional info: My parents had the same error just yesterday, except they didn't burn a disc, just inserted it and copied a file. Totally different machine, both Ubuntus are Dapper (upgraded from Breezy) ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- DVD can't be ejected sometimes https://launchpad.net/bugs/56216 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
