Hi, I have a T400 running Maverick 2.6.35-25-generic. I can confirm that the descriptions given in http://ibmforums.ibm.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1915941&tstart=0& solved my problem. Before implementing the solution I checked that I got an identical error message (as described in the post) in /var/log/kern.log . PM: Device 00:0a failed to suspend: error -5 PM: Some devices failed to suspend
I then created (as instructed by the post) a new configuration file: - /etc/modprobe.d/tpm.conf into which I've placed: - options tpm_tis itpm=1 I had to do a cold boot. Don't ask me why, but the suspend would hang after a warm boot. Ever since, suspend worked for me.
