As version 2.8.11.0-0ubuntu4.1 of libwxbase2.8-0 and libwxgtk2.8-0 was recently released, I updated to this version, and verified that the new version is still affected by this bug. (I did not expect it to be fixed, but I figured it would be worthwhile to confirm that it still occurs.)
