Hi Brian, sorry for the delay! I used 7.04 i386 desktop beta release and also tried 7.04 i386 beta server both did't work.
Using Sarge 3.1 R0 works using Kernel 2.4.? - I also read, that the older distris (using the older Kernel?) are working on the megaraid i4 - also my SuSe 9.0 did, the 9.3 did not... . At the moment I'm using Debian Sarge, but I'd like to use Ubuntu, because my thre other Computers are running Dapper. Maybe this behaviour could be resolved compiling the kernel with the megaraid driver? But that's not possible for me because I want to install on a raid 5 so I need the raid to be recognized from scratch... .
