Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
I fresh installed Feisty on my laptop a few days after the Beta release, everything worked fine out of the box. Since then (at what point I'm not entirely sure, but it was in the last 2 weeks) NetworkManager (using knetworkmanager front end, I'm on kubuntu) fails to connect. NetworkManager displays all available networks as expected and I believe it associates correctly too (see below), however it times out during the "Configuring IP" stage. Running "ps aux" during this 30 or so second hanging period I can see wpa_supplicant is running and a copy of dhclient. If I run "dhclient eth1" myself manually at this point, I get an IP assigned to myself and everything works fine (apart from NetworkManager who's still convinced I'm not connected. This is why I assume the association works correctly). knetworkmanager then proceeds to prompt for a new WEP key. If there's anything else I can do to help, let me know. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- NetworkManager won't connect (but had previously) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106156 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
