Public bug reported: After installing Ubuntu Maverick 32-bit from scratch, the network- manager-applet panel icon shows with a white background, which looks ugly against the dark grey background of the rest of the theme (Ambiance). This is straight after a fresh install, without making any changes to the theme or other visual settings. I will attach a screen- shot showing how it looks.
Using the Gimp, I determined that the background colour of the icon is actually #f2f1f0, and it changes with the theme. In Dust it is #d9d4cc, and in Clearlooks it is #edeceb, the same colour as the rest of the panel, so in Clearlooks it actually looks correct. I have two NVidia Geforce 8800 GTX cards, and I'm using the proprietary driver (I have to, otherwise I can't use both cards).
