New laptop, running Ubuntu 10.10.
Unlike #666172 and similar bug reports, hibernate has never worked on this
fairly fresh install. Suspend works fine.
Hibernate attempts result in black screen with cursor in upper left corner
and no further activity.
Tried:
echo disk > /sys/power/state
with same result.
Hibernate works on same machine under Windows 7 (under different partition).
