However, I am closing this since Zeitgeist by design requires write
access to the user's home directory. Feel free to reassign this bug to
another component if you figure out what is causing this permissions
problem.

I don't see how this could be blocking any installations. At most all that can
be happening is that a "Zeitgeist has crashed" message window shows up asking
to fill this report.
