Thank you for your prompt reaction.
I am sorry but I have not the slightest idea how this problem arose. To my
mind it started after trying the Dolphin file manager. I have been
uninstalling Openoffice 3.2 English version and installing Openoffice 3.3.
NL version. some steps were taken by copying command lines from an ubuntu
forum to the terminal. But I can not imagine how all this could have caused
the problem in question.
Fact is that when I uninstall Dolphin there is no file manager associated
with for example place-documents. The only thing you see is the little wheel
turning for 1/2 a minute, but no file manager will open. Whereas
when clicking Places-Computer the Launch pad will open correctly.
Is there an easy way to repair the launchpad?
Thank you for your in advance for your reply,

Roel van den Houten
