I have an HP dm1z with the same issue. On th0min4tor's suggestion, I took a look at OpenSuse's sources, and they have a number of patches for fixing clickpad issues and adding functionality: https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=xorg-x11-driver-input&project=X11:XOrg If I get some time this week, I may try building with these diffs to see if I can get things working under Natty.
