This bug could be related to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python2.6/+bug/573028 (look at the last two posts)
But i solved it. I enabled the maverick ppa of Elementaryart. The Elementaryart package had created /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages folder but when was removed when i uninstalled it. This enabled me to install python2.6-minimal without errors. So this could be an aftermath of that. Maybe a cache thing?
