Update: I've discovered that this bug seems to be associated with Unity in 10.10 Netbook Edition on my computer so I'll just use Gnome. As much as I like Unity, it seems to be buggy (the Unity launcher also ignores clicks sometimes). Or maybe I'll install Xfce. I've like it in the past.
