Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center
Sometimes when I try to download something from the Ubuntu software center it just says "Applying Settings" or "Downloading" and it actually does not get installed and when I click Cancel to cancel the download or Install . It just says "Cancelling" and it never ever finishes until I restart my PC. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10. This bug has happened with me before too . on Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.4 LTS and It happens with any random package not just with specific Pacakages ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: software-center 3.0.7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-27.48-generic 2.6.35.11 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-27-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Mar 15 12:54:40 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: software-center ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/735321 Title: Update Center.
