I'm sorry, but this was a long time ago, and I'm now using edgy. In the
present case, the disk mounter applet does not display anything about
the encrypted partition, and I mount it using:

pmount /dev/sda6 private

this mounts the device in /media/private.

To answer your question, the fstab does not contain anything about
/dev/sda6.

Indeed, I don't want this device to be mounted everytime, but only on
demand. I guess your fstab is also empty of encrypted disks.
