I decided to reopen this bug because it is a legitimate problem.
Basically some people upgraded their Ubuntu Xen systems from 8.04
through 9.04 by continuing to use the kernels from 8.04 ie 2.6.24.
However, starting with 9.10 and above these kernels would fail to boot.
The solution is to switch to Debian for Xen hosts which has better
support for Xen.  For those who are stuck with Ubuntu I do not think
there is any solution but to run 8.04 and hope that 12.04 supports Xen
and upgrade then.
