Thank you for getting back to me. I cycled through the possible input devices. Since I was testing first with gnome-sound-recorder, I assumed the sound card was simply not working correctly (for input). The MacBookPro6.2 has a few possible input devices. The gnome-volume-control has an input monitor, however. Once I saw a signal there, I decided to test another recording application. That's when I used gtk-recordMyDesktop, which recorded audio fine. Without changing the settings, I then tested gnome-sound- recorder again, knowing that my audio settings were now correct, but I got no audio from the recording, no static either, simply no signal at all.
I can't say if this is a new issue, as I hadn't tried it before. I will also be testing the natty beta that arrives this week. If you have suggestions for how I can get you better debug info, let me know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743364 Title: gnome-sound-recorder fails to record from internal mic on MacBook -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
