Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
Lousy title, I know. It's basically a video artifact problem. It's best described by the attached screenshot.png. The Unity menu comes out, and appears to retract about 10% of the way, but remains 90% over the edge obstructing the focused application. I can still click through the overlaid icons to the application below. I have not found a way to make the artifact layer disappear. I noticed it after the latest update yesterday on a MacBook - Alpha 3 of Natty (64-bit Mac version) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: unity 3.6.8-0ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-7.39-generic 2.6.38 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-7-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia wl .proc.driver.nvidia.gpus.0: Error: [Errno 21] Is a directory: '/proc/driver/nvidia/gpus/0' .proc.driver.nvidia.registry: Binary: "" .proc.driver.nvidia.version: NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 270.30 Fri Feb 25 14:34:55 PST 2011 GCC version: gcc version 4.5.2 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.5.2-7ubuntu1) Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, mousepoll, vpswitch, regex, animation, snap, expo, move, compiztoolbox, place, grid, imgpng, gnomecompat, wall, ezoom, workarounds, staticswitcher, resize, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, scale, session, unityshell] CompositorRunning: compiz Date: Mon Mar 28 22:45:03 2011 DistUpgraded: Log time: 2011-03-21 07:46:42.331157 DistroCodename: natty DistroVariant: ubuntu DkmsStatus: bcmwl, 5.100.82.38+bdcom, 2.6.38-6-generic, x86_64: installed bcmwl, 5.100.82.38+bdcom, 2.6.38-7-generic, x86_64: installed nvidia-current, 270.30, 2.6.38-7-generic, x86_64: installed GraphicsCard: nVidia Corporation GT216 [GeForce GT 330M] [10de:0a29] (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Apple Computer Inc.
