Public bug reported:
It said to report a bug against Update Manager with this error message,
¨E:Malformed line 59 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse).¨
I was putting in an address to Synaptic Package Manager and forgot the
word, ¨main,¨ in, ¨deb http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org
maverick [because I use Ubuntu 10.10] main.¨ What happened instead,
Synaptic Package Manager and Update Manager are unable to open after I
close out the error messages, they close when I close their error
message. So, I can´t get to the option of removing the package to
replace it with the correct address, with the word main, as I expected
to happen. I was trying to install the latest version of the secure Tor
proxy.
