Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

After an installation that had its own issues (bug 746015), I got the
following frightening message (and it might just be a symptom of that
other bug, but I figured better safe than sorry):

"The package system is broken"

"Check if you are using third party repositories. If so disable them, since
they are a common source of problems.
Furthermore run the following command in a Terminal: apt-get install -f"

"The following packages have unmet dependencies:

"

To be clear, that's not a typo. The "details" window had a blank line
where the unmet dependencies should go. I typed "sudo apt-get install
-f" in a Terminal, but it didn't want to do anything.

I just realized that I got this error many times. Closing one window
opened another. So maybe it was just a result of bug 746015 after
all...
