I think this is a duplicate bug, I have found several bugs complaining about the same error. This is not a macbook pro only bug. See this one that has been marked as high importance: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/104993 Also it seems that Brian Murray is trying to fix it.
