Binary package hint: cowdancer
Cowbuilder tries to install cowdancer after it ran pbuilder, which is in
universe. However, universe is not enabled in pbuilder by default, so
cowbuilder fails. Possible ways to address this:
1. Simply document this problem in /usr/share/doc/cowbuilder/README.Debian.
2. Enable universe by default in pbuilder. Probably not very desirable...
3. Check that universe is in COMPONENTS and fail with a descriptive error
message if not. This, of course, also requires a check that MIRRORSITE is
actually pointing to a Ubuntu mirror and not a Debian mirror (taking into
account --mirror and --othermirror options).
4. Install a cowbuilderrc that appends universe to COMPONENTS if it is not
present, and pass it to pbuilder with the --configfile flag. Again, this
requires the same check as in 3.
5. Only temporarily enable universe when creating and updating the chroot.
Again, this needs a check that the chroot actually contains a Ubuntu
installation and not a Debian.
IMHO option 5 would be the most desirable option, since it makes it
possible to have universe disabled when satisfying build dependencies.
This would help preventing accidental build depencies on packages in
universe by packages in main.
