I agree that this is desirable, but fear that it may be too late in the Natty cycle to add.
The problem is that it is slightly non-trivial to apply the "correct" solution; which would be to have Zeitgeist log the downloads from all apps (Firefox and Empathy probably the most prominent). This way we'd have automatic integration with the timeline ranking from our Zeitgeist queries. If we manually "grep" the Downloads dir we'd have to merge-sort them with the results from Zeitgeist in order to have them integrated into the timeline results. Alternatively we integrate the hits from Downloads in the Top Results group or add a Downloads group to the result set (as we have on the home screen). I don't particularly like any of these two ideas though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748915 Title: Files lens should also search Downloads -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
