The lengths you have to go to just to resize the dock/launcher are just
plain farcical, and it's an "experimental" feature to boot so may not
make the cut!

In Windows 7, I right-click the taskbar/superbar, select properties and
set icons to small... job done.

Botton line is that I should not have to "know" about installing another
piece of software just to configure an integral part of my desktop.
