Public bug reported:
When switching to a resolution below the max resolution of 1280 x 800,
there is a black bar displayed on the left hand side of the monitor. In
addition, switching back to the max resolution removes the black bar,
but the screen is not refreshed properly when the previous resolution
was set at the lowest possible . A user would have to manually move an
application around the screen to force the screen to redraw.
