While Rodrigos instructions fixed my issue, I neglected to mention that there is typo in the instructions. This is what I did: 1st, quit evolution $ killall -9 e-addressbook-factory $ /usr/lib/desktopcouch/desktopcouch-stop $ rm ~/.config/desktop-couch/desktop-couchdb.ini $ /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory
