  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

  Hi,
I rebooted after upgrade to kernel package 2.6.38-8 (also there was quite a
big upgrade of KDE packages from 4.6.1 to 4.6.2)
I noticed very soon that KMix changed to this infamous 1-slider-for-all
format.
And of course I have lost microphone in my Skype. This behaviour is often
ascribed to PulseAudio.
I remember it worked with kernel 2.6.38-7 and older KMix (also with little
help of 'alsamixer' which allowed me to tweak some settings KMix did not see).
But what to do now, when Kubuntu finally migrated to PulseAudio everywhere ?
