The bug 106508 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106508) is indeed a duplicate of this one.
It was advised to test the packages network-manager-openvpn and network- manager-vpnc. That changes nothing there. When I configure my connection statically, it functions a few seconds then is blocked.
