Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xscreensaver
When using a non-gnome desktop (LXDE, XFCE), xscreensaver is used by default. This is fine, except that the unlock screen is (subjectively) ugly and (empirically) is so far away from most of the themes that it presents a jarring contrast to the user. Proposed fixes: 1. Make gnome-screensaver the default 2. Patch xscreensaver to have a prettier unlock bug Workaround (at least, on Xubuntu): Uninstall xscreensaver, install gnome-screensaver. Xubuntu's session should use it. ** Affects: xscreensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/755586 Title: Xscreensaver unlock style doesn't match desktop -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
