Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

When running
gnome-screenshot --interactive
(from a terminal or from Applications -> Access... -> Take Screenshot

and selecting "Grab the current window" with no delay the program
crashes without taking a screen shot.

I get this error:

gnome-screenshot --interactive
The program 'gnome-screenshot' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 3818 error_code 3 request_code 15 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

My guess is that the 'current window' is the screen shot program itself,
which closes at the time the picture is taken.

But what I want is for the program to take the screen shot of the other
window I have open.

(The obvious workaround is to set the timer to a non-zero number and
switch window, but no matter what, the program shouldn't exit without a
warning to the user.)
