This bug has made me believe Compiz was unstable when in fact it is produced by the settings I'm using. Window Decoration: !(state=maxvert) Window Shadows: !(class=Conky)
Use those expressions for Shadow and Decoration in the Decoration plugin on compizconfig-settings-manager (ccsm) and the bug will be reproduced. This did not occur on previous versions of Ubuntu.
