Public bug reported: I have discovered a very serious bug with the kernel on ubuntu natty 64bit .
upon doing some digging on the upstream irc i was told there was a patch which fixed this issue from upstream. when connecting to wpa networks this issue doesnt arise its only specific to wpa2. I am unable to provide any more informamtion due to the kernel panic requiring me to do a hard reboot. http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.38.3.tar.bz2 I am going to recompile the kernel from upstream source to test if this fixes the issue, but in the mean time can the patch be included in the kernel. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/762496 Title: atheros wifi cards cause kernel panic when connecting to wpa2 secured wifi networks -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
