I'm seeing the same issue. I have a Gigabyte MB as well, a Gigabyte 880GMA-USB3.
I set up a USB to boot from using Startup Disk Creator from Ubuntu 10.10 and a Natty Narwhal Beta2 Desktop ISO (64-bit). When I try and boot, I get the "Loading operating system" line (seems to be standard with the Gigabyte BIOS), then "Boot error". I tested the USB on a different system with an Asus motherboard (also an AMD 64 system), and it worked fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/742862 Title: Bootl fails from USB stick -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
