This is because the click on a network printer entry triggers a check
whether the printer is supported by the HPLIP software. System-config-
printer needs some optimization there. Possible optimizations:

- If the manufacturer name is known and not HP or Apollo, do not check
- Use hp-mkuri ("-i ..."/"-z ...") instead of hp-makeuri for checking general 
HPLIP support. Then use "hp-mkuri -c" to check whether the device also supports 
fax.

This is not very urgent (does not need to get fixed for Natty) as the
delay is not so long, but in general, this should get improved.
