First of all 10.04 is LTS version and Ubuntu provides support daily or weekly. My Laptop is up to date with latest updates but still bug exists. The Issue is occurring in other's debian distribution. I faced similar sound issue in HP a year back and after some week updated It got resolved.Reason to posting this issue is just inform concerns.
