There is a known bug (bug 685552) where enabling/disabling any plugins crashed unity. There have been a bit of work done to fix the issue and after that, now enabling/disabling any plugins in ccsm makes unity do some really weird things. I think we can assume this bug as a duplicate of bug 685552. I am saying this because I have faced this type of issues myself.
Could you start ccsm, then in terminal type 'metacity --replace' enable the plugin you want and then run 'unity' in terminal and check if the problem happens again. ** Changed in: unity Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/766430 Title: Compiz Functions ( Wobbly windows, Opacify ) Breaks Unity -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
