Public bug reported:

running ubuntu 10.10 on asus Eee pc 1015ped

simple straightforward issue: the windows for certain applications extend off
the bottom of my screen (1024x600) and because of this are impractical to use,
i have tried to resize them to fit but they wont resize any shorter. its pretty
common for the windows to be improperly resized on my screen, in most cases i
can resize them, not so for the following applications:
-Gimp image editor
-Evolution mail
-Firestarter
and im sure there are others i cant remember off the top of my head. the only
workaround i could find is to use the Alt key to move the whole window around
so i could use the buttons on the bottom.
