Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
Reproduction Steps: open gnome-keyboard-properties Layouts > Options -> Alt/Win key behaviour [o] Left Alt is swapped with Left Win Afterwards, in all applications the alt key is no longer accessible. I.e., - in GEdit, it doesn't switch between documents 1-9 - in GNOME Terminal or xterm it doesn't pass alt-key combinations to shell This only happens under Unity. Under other WMs, e.g. Window Maker, gnome-settings-daemon successfully sets the layout, and the alt key still works.
