Hello Alan,
As you can see in your screenshot, you do have scroll bars. Also, you
can resize the window as you think best. The initial size is meant to
fit even on netbooks, so we won't be increasing the default window size.
Anyways, thanks for taking the time to report this and helping making Ubuntu
