I just tried the daily (26 April 2011) version of Ubuntu 11.04. The keyboard backlight problem has not been solved for my Toshiba A665D-S6059. With acpi=ON the lights do not work, with acpi=OFF the lights do. This has been a problem for me since 10.10.
