** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg I've upgraded from a stock Ubuntu 9.10 desktop to Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2, via "sudo do-upgrade-release -d". After upgrade, there are no buttons atop of windows in Gnome (close, maximize, restore) - neither left, nor right. The bug is very annoying, since windows cannot be minimised, maximised, closed, etc. This occurs only if I choose "Gnome" session at log in; "Gnome-minimal" settings are unaffected. This occured to me on two separate machines; on one of them I've solved it using this: http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ubuntu-desktop-effects- fixing-the-missing-titlebar/ On the other, there is no /etc/X11/xorg.conf file present; creating one and adding the suggested lines leads to to visible effect.
