The above, by the way, was found when I tried to just copy the deb URL into a browser... It's the browser that reported all this info.
OK, it looks like this is all might not be being caused by Ubuntu, or Mint at all, as just now I was able to upgrade (on Natty) from home. It's probably being caused by the virus scanner (McAffee) that is attached to my company's proxy. It seems that McAffee is thinking that this particular DEB "behaves like exploit code." I'll try this a couple more times and submit a bug to my company's IT department. 1) Google might be interested though that their Alpha SW is now tripping a McAffee heuristic, and may be interested in figuring out why. 2) I didn't understand that this error was actually coming from the proxy, and not from apt or something installed on my workstation. A more descriptive explanation from apt-get would have been welcome. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/765087 Title: "403 VirusFound" messages from chromium-daily PPA on apt-get upgrade -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
