I was able to capture the screen, having the sidebar frozen... notice in the picture that the mouse is away (to the right side of the screen) and it is still opened... also, that I have nautilus running (maximized) and it show no triangle by its home icon... the bar simply wont go away (and usually there is no way to keep it from hiding)
I had to remotely access (ssh) this box to get proper control over my system, since compiz --replace and unity --replace hadn`t accomplished anything close to what I had expected (paining my screen totally white was not my goal), and the reboot was mandatory Are there any log files I can try to post here to describe better my huge frustration with unity keeping me from actually using the system as disired? I doubt anyone moms (mine included) be able to understand the mess that Unity does to the usability ! Wasn`t it created for tiny screen (like netbooks)? What is the advantage of forcing this on the users even when they huge huge screens? The math does not seem to add! ** Attachment added: "frozen-unity-sidebar.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/756379/+attachment/2092380/+files/frozen-unity-sidebar.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/756379 Title: the unity bar (on the left) keeps freezing -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
