I tend to enjoy Unity. Brings something new to the table. Plus, with the roll-out of GNOME3 comes a pretty bland interface, since it's still so new. There should be a mix of GNOME3 and Unity, but with more user preferences allowing customization. Just remember, GNOME didn't start out perfect. It took many revisions to get it to look decent.
