Addendum: Interestingly package manager is now claiming I have 788 updates to apply (was all up to date prior to the attempted 11 upgrade last night), but also claims it can only do a partial update, possibly due to "a previous upgrade which didn't complete"... I thought it would not upgrade anything until the downloads had completed, so a curious outcome. Hopefully the machine will reboot ok!
