I'd agree that this is incredibly annoying. I have Firefox sized
correctly so that I can reopen it and fit the other windows that make up
my work flow around it. I also can't see that this function has any
practical benefit - surely people would maximise a window if they
intended it to be maximised. Could someone please explain the reasoning
behind this seemingly odd design choice?
