This is odd. I just woke up and restarted my system, and now the sound works on bootup. If the state file is corrupt, then was it rebuilt upon using the 'reset' command?
I guess my concern, then, it what caused it. It coincided with the upgrade, though that doesn't necessarily mean the two are related. Someone with less technical ability than I have would have been completely lost and without sound. Well I apologize if I've wasted your time, but I didn't know if there was an actual bug involved or not. Better safe than sorry, you know. -- No Sound Upon Upgrade to 7.04 (Workaround Included) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
